A hero for all time

Jackie Robinson had a quick temper and was known for getting into fights with other players in the Negroe League.
There were other more talented players in the Negroe League, yet after careful research by the the all white MLB and the Brooklyn Dodgers, they chose Jackie Robinson.
During the games, he was called mames, had things thrown at him from the stands. The opposing pitchers threw at his head. His teammates rejected him.
Everything was in place for Jackie Robinson to FAIL. And the narrative would have been “we gave a black player an opportunity and it didn’t work.”
Jackie Robinson took the verbal and physical abuse as motivation to showcase his talent and make the plan backfire. He was the first black player, rookie of the year, MVP, World Series Champion, and Hall of Famer and my hero
